Who can believe it's that time of year already..... it's almost time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, or #NSale! Last year, the sale was delayed due to the pandemic but we are back on track this year with the sale beginning in just a few short weeks. As always, I wanted to break down the sale for y'all so you are prepared to maximize your success in getting every piece you want. I will say, I am still really disappointed that Nordstrom has not listened to the feedback about the tiered shopping, it's definitely unfair in so many ways but fingers crossed they change it in the coming years and so until then here we are! Similar to last year, there will be no print catalog, just an online catalog. Here is my breakdown of the sale!
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Anniversary Sale is Nordstrom's biggest sale of the year, seriously! This sale allows shoppers to shop New Arrivals from some of the hottest brands including Madewell, Vince etc. at a discounted price (up to 50% off) before the prices go up to regular price. Some of the items featured normally NEVER go on sale, so this is the time to snag those fall must haves! Also for 2021, Nordstrom will be introducing 100+ new brands to the sale like Dyson, Jenni Kayne and more! There are no promo codes, everything is reduced during the time frame of the sale.
Important Dates to Remember
The sale opens to the public (meaning non Nordstrom cardholders / Nordy Club member) on July 28th but if you're a Nordstrom cardholder / Nordy Club member, the date you can shop depends on your status. AKA how much you spend per year. For the tiers, you can shop online beginning at 3 AM EST / 12 AM PST
July 6th, Preview Opens to EVERYONE
July 12-17 Icon Early Access
July 14-17 Ambassador Early Access
July 16-27, Influencer Early Access
July 28th, Sale Opens to the Public
August 8th, Sale ends and prices go back up
My advice for shopping the sale, because we all will probably make multiple purchases, is to snag those hot items first before they are gone. This includes cardigans, tees and anything on the lower price point (I would say under $50). Also if you like multiple colors or are not sure of the item sizing, order multiple! There is nothing worse than ordering the wrong size and coming back and finding it's sold out, Nordstrom has FREE returns and is probably the easiest company to do returns at, so it's well worth it! This is the best advice I've learned first hand because the good stuff that everyone loves will go out of stock fast.
